Your board stays on your device

Nothing you draw is uploaded: the whiteboard runs entirely in your browser and has no server storage. The autosave lives in this browser on this device. Clearing your browser data, using a private or incognito window, or opening the board in another browser or on another device will not have it, so use Save board file to keep a copy you can open anywhere.

Is the whiteboard free?

Yes. The whiteboard is free to use, with no limits on how much you draw.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up and no account: open the board and start drawing.

Is my drawing saved?

Yes, in your own browser. The board saves itself automatically on this device while you draw. Nothing is uploaded to a server. To keep a copy you can move anywhere, use Save board file.

Will my drawing stay after I refresh the page?

Yes. The autosave brings the board back after a refresh or when you return later in the same browser. Clearing your browser data, a private or incognito window, or another browser or device will not have it, so save a board file for anything important.

How do I continue my drawing on another computer?

Use Save board file to download a .4xboard file, move it to the other computer, then open the whiteboard there and choose Open board file. The board comes back exactly as you left it and stays editable.

Can I download my whiteboard?

Yes. Download PNG saves a picture of everything you drew, with the background you chose.

Can I add images?

Yes. Add PNG or JPEG pictures of up to 10 MB each from your device, then move them where you need them.

Does it work on mobile and tablets?

Yes. It works on phones, tablets and computers with a finger, a stylus or a mouse. Pinch to zoom and drag with two fingers to move around.

Can I share the board live with others?

No. The whiteboard runs only in your browser, so there is no live sharing. You can send someone your board file or a PNG, or share your screen while you draw.
